Anthem Golf Homes, Properties, Real Estate

Welcome To Anthem

Anthem Arizona by Del Webb broke ground in the summer of 1998 on 5,856 acres. Approximately 3,083 of those acres are devoted to residential acreage, 623 acres are zoned for multi-use, and 2,150 acres are set aside for open space and recreational use. Anthem is located 5 miles north of the Carefree Highway on Interstate 17 in the northern part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The first home was sold in 1999. Homes for sale in Anthem offer the buyer an exciting array of amenities that are unrivaled anywhere in Arizona.

In the family-oriented Parkside Village, there are homes that range in size from 1,218 square feet up to almost 4,500 square feet. There is a wide variety of floorplans and exteriors in the neighborhoods with names like Heritage, Jubilation, Echelon, Inspirations, Traditions and Enchantment. Anthem home prices start in the low- to mid-$100s and range up to the mid $600s. The 40,000 square foot Parkside Community Center has a complete fitness and aerobics level, indoor basketball court, rock climbing wall, several multi-purpose rooms, teen room, short term childcare and tennis courts. The Anthem Water Park has 2 slides, large zero-edge pool with water playground, kiddy pool, sandy volleyball court, party lawn and an 8-lane 25-meter lap pool. The adjacent 63-acre community park features the Daisy Mountain railroad, 4-acre catch-and-release lake, baseball, soccer, and softball fields, volleyball courts, in-line hockey rink, picnic ramadas and lighted walking, biking and jogging trails.

On the golf course side of Anthem, the guard-gated Anthem Golf & Country Club was ranked third among all private golf courses in Arizona by Arizona Business Magazine's "Ranking Arizona" for the year 2001. The challenging yet enjoyable 7,168 yard championship course opened in January 2000. Designed by Greg Nash & Associates, the course has been recognized Arizona Foothills Magazine as having one of the 18 best golf holes in the state, the 557 yard par-5 8th. The 34,000 square foot clubhouse features the casually elegant Persimmon Bar & Grille an a state-of-the-art health and fitness center. The "americana" collection of 22 homes in the Country Club range in size from 1,344 to 3,971 square feet, all are single level and the vast majority back to the golf course or natural area open space. Home prices in the Country Club start in the high $100s and go up to the high $600s.

Construction of the second 18-hole championship golf course, also designed by Nash & Associates, along with club facilities, began in the fall of 2001 with a Decmber 2003 opening date. To date 250 memberships have been sold with a cap of 475 members per course. In February 2001, Anthem earned the award for the best master-planned community in the U.S. from the National Association of Home Builders and Marketing. Shortly thereafter, the Pulte Homes of Michigan purchased Del Webb Corporation.

About Anthem Country Club

While the view from the exquisite homes in the gated enclave of Anthem Country Club that overlook the mountain-ringed Valley ought to be amenity enough, a diverse array of retail outlets, medical offices and business parks has sprung up in recent years, furthering Anthem’s self-contained feel. And our builders have masterfully blended innovative designs with practical efficiencies to make the homes in the Country Club appealing on so many levels. The importance of community is evident at Anthem Country Club, where on one hand you’ll feel part of something bigger and at the same time be part of something personal and intimate.

The Anthem golf community boasts two championship 18-hole, Greg Nash-designed private courses with limited outside play. The greens are spacious with many protected and multi tiered, and every hole looks like a desert oasis providing great views of the unique Sonoran desert and beautiful mountainous horizon of Phoenix.
